Empty Mind

Late at night, lying on this hard bed,
My humming goes unnoticed.
Outside, weeds sway in the soft wind
On either side of the brick path.
All alone I'm suckled to sleep on the
Breast of the merciful Void, and
For a few hours now, the trees outside
Can just be themselves again.
