starDaily Zen - Go here, when you're feeling the most stressed during the day, and get some inspiration with a new quote from famous past Zen masters every day. Besides that, it also has translations of ancient Zen essays not found elsewhere on the net and new ones are added every other week. This is one of the best Zen sites on the net. Updated daily.

cupZen Search Project - A new site, dedicated to making the best Zen web directory on the net. Support this guy, so we can all find our Zen sites a lot easier.

cupZen Buddhist Order of Hsu Yun (ZBOHY Home Page) - This site has tons of original Zen literature written by modern authors, as well as a few classics, spanning a wide range of topics. Based on the teachings of Xu Yun, probably the greatest Ch'an Master of the 20th century, this site definitely has something to offer to all Zen practitioners.

cupKalavinka Dharma World - Another great site. This one has tons of original translations of great masters like Nagarjuna (huge archive) and Han-shan, and also has a monthly Dharma Journal.

cup Digital Zendo - Jaye Morris Home page - Beautiful page with a lovely personal touch, Jay Morris gives you updates from time to time about his discoveries of Buddhism on the net. This site also has some nice original material, as well as a few classical Zen texts. Worth checking out.

medalPlum Village - This site is the home page for Plum Village set up by the venerable Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. It also includes Dharma talks by him and some Sutra translations.

medalDharma Rain Zen Center Home Page - Home of the E-zine Still Point, which is well worth a read.

starNo Zendo: Zen, Zazen, Solo Practice - One of the best Zen sites on the web! This site is invaluable for any Zennist who does not have access to a Master or Sangha. Has tons of info about how to conduct home practise, and links to hundreds of Dharma talks. Check this one out!

cupZen - A Guided Tour (Shockwave Needed) - Somebody has put a whole lot of work into this one. This site takes you on a fascinating journey on learning how to meditate and experiencing Zen. Visit this!!!

cupChan Meditation Center - A site dedicated to Master Sheng-Yen's Ch'an teachings, with retreat info etc., and a quite good Dharma talk archive.

cupCloudwater Zendo - A good page with nice info about Ch'an and Pure Land practises. Among the interesting features is the Ask-a-monk section, where you can ask a Ch'an monk all sorts of questions.

cup Zen Mountain Monastery - Mountains and Rivers Order - A professional, well done and very complete page. Especially the dharma talks section is good. Others might be attracted by the fact that one can contact a senior monastic Soto Zen monk at the monastery and ask him questions about Zen and Buddhism. Generally, this page is very complete. Nice one.

cupIriz - The International Research Institute of Zen, this site has the most extensive list of Zen centres across the world I've ever seen! If you happen to read Japanese or Chinese, then this site is THE Zen site for you, as it also has hundreds of old Zen/Ch'an writings.

cupDragon Flower Ch'an Buddhist Temple - A great site dedicated to translating original Chinese texts used at Ch'an monasteries. Worth a visit.

cupThe Western Ch'an Fellowship - A good site for any Ch'an practitioner in England. Also has a good archive of Dharma talks by Sheng-yen and John Cook and more goodies.

medalRyokan Poetry - A good site for exploring the poetry of the famous Zen master Ryokan.

medal Riverside Chan Meditation Group Homepage - An excellent page about Ch'an with lots of great articles. Worth a visit. Especially well suited for newcomers to Ch'an.

star Buddhasasana - English Section - This is perhaps THE Theravada Buddhism site there is which is most useful for any practitioner, with a very user-friendly layout. This has tons of great articles, books and more. If you miss out on this, you are cheating yourself. Check it out!

cupDhammapada - Translated by Daw Mya Tin - Another translation of the Dhammapada. What makes this site unique however, is that added to all the verses are the story which repudetly inspired the Buddha to speak that particular verse.

cupChieng Mai Dhamma Study Group - A good site for those wishing to delve further into their study of the Buddhadhamma

medalAbhayagiri Buddhist Monastery - Has a large list of Dhamma talks and essays.

star Access to Insight - The best Buddhist site on the net! A great site containing more than 700 Suttas from the Pali Canon of Theravada Buddhism!!! If you want to read the original teachings of the Buddha and his successors, this is THE place to go. It also has tons of other works not found elsewhere. Another must-see!

cupIntroducing Buddhist Abhidhamma -Want to know more about the Abhidhamma? this site is the prime resource for just that. Also has a German translation of the FULL Pali Canon (thousands of suttas!) for those who speak that language.

medalThe Forest Sangha - Here you can find lots of great articles from the Forest Sangha Newsletter, dedicated to the Tai forest tradition of Ajahn Chah.

medalSujin Boriharnwanaket - A good site about Vipassana and Satipatthana meditation in the Tipitaka.

starGoogle Web Directory: Buddhism - The best directory for all schools of Buddhism. Has loads of links that are all intelligently sorted into lots of sub-categories, which makes it a lot easier to find exactly what you are looking for. My favourite Buddhist portal.

starDharmaNet - Perhaps the greatest Buddhist portal on the net, this site has tons of links, a huge archive of readings, and tons of other features. This is the place to go! Dharmanet is the main mover and shaker behind bringing English translations of Buddhist scriptures to the internet! Unfortunately, updates have been slow recently due to a lack of resources. Barry Kapke has single-handedly maintined this site for more than a decade! Go and give your support!

cupBuddhist Pen Pal - A great site for any Buddhist seeking to come into contact with fellow Buddhists. Definitely a great service. Also has some beautiful Buddhist wallpapers.

cup CyberSangha Buddhist Archives - One of the largest Buddhist archives on the net, featuring more than 1000 articles from many Buddhist schools and traditions! This would definitely get a star rating, if it was updated and made more user-friendly. It's pretty old and not very comprehensive, but the amount of material drags it up to a cup rating single-handedly.

medalWhat do you think, my friend? - A light-spirited and somewhat down-to-earth site containing lots of stories and poems by contemporary Buddhists.

starBuddhanet - Huge site with lots of material and links and everything else for virtually all Buddhist traditions. This is one of the most extensive buddhist sites on the net. Unfortunately, it's a true test of patience due to the very heavy graphics. Still, check it out.

star/cupBuddhism Study and Practice Group - This is a great resource. It has loads of original Mahayana texts, as well as contemporary ones, and also some good Theravada texts as well. Definitely worth a visit.

cupBuddhist Masters - A great site for reading about famous Buddhist Masters, both from the Zen and Vajrayana traditions and more, with a selection of writings from the various masters as well. Well worth a visit.

cupElectronic Buddhist Archives - A huge (although somewhat old) archive of simple text files, this site has a wealth of info on all types of Buddhism., Dharma talks, extracts, koans, poems and just a whole assortment of stuff. You could spend hours reading all this stuff.

cupMeditation Archive - Here you'll find more than one hundred meditation subjects. Always good to have, if you feel like trying something new when sitting.

cupWestern Buddhist Review - This is a great Buddhist journal, with lots of insightful articles. Has a somewhat scholarly sland, but nonetheless a very informative journal.

starTrue Tao - Possibly the most beautiful, well-done, most user-friendly and most complete Taoist site there is, with lots of great writings. Check it out!

starClarity I Ching readings and resources - This is the best place I've found to explore the I Ching. It has a free translation available, lots of advice on how to ask questions, interpret answers etc., and a forum where one can discuss the I Ching in depth.

cupI Ching Resources: Real life I Ching divination experiences - A great I Ching site about other people's experiences with the Book of Changes. Also has the classic I Ching translation by Wilhem.

cupYakrider - A good spiritual site about Buddhism, Zen, Taoism, Christianity and meditation.

starSacred Texts Archive - A great archive of sacred texts from all the religions of the world, including Buddhism and Zen. Invaluable for any spiritualist.

starReflections on Awakening - A great site, where a woman describes her journey towards enlightenment independent of other spiritual traditions, and how the internet played a part in that journey. A wonderful inspiration for other seekers

cupGnostic Society virtual Library - Excellent site about the scriptures of the Gnostic. Lots of writings to be found here. Be sure to check out The Gospel of Thomas.

cupA Course in Consciousness - A fascinating site about quantum phychics and non-dual awareness. Worth checking out.
